Doula Support

What is a doula?

A doula is a trained, non-medical, emotional, physical support and guide for a pregnant person, partner, and family before, during and after labor and birth. Doulas spend time getting to know you, your partner and your family.

At Flow Freely, we seek to provide you with information, resources and support to achieve the birth that you vision. As doulas, we spend a lot of our time and energy navigating the local birth climate which helps you to understand what to expect at different birth settings and with different care providers.

Birth Consultation

At Flow Freely, we deeply understand and value the importance of establishing a meaningful connection when embarking on your doula care journey. Our intention is to create a safe and nurturing space where you can openly express your needs and desires for doula support.

You are encouraged to invite your partner(s), spouse, a trusted friend, family member, or anyone who will play a significant role in your birth experience to join these discussions.

We invite you to initiate this transformative journey with us by scheduling your complimentary free Connection Consultation today.

Birth Support

Flow Freely birth doulas play a crucial role in supporting you and your loved ones throughout the entire childbirth journey. From offering non-medical emotional support during pregnancy to providing physical assistance during labor, our doulas provide a comforting presence in the birthing room. Working collaboratively with the rest of the birthing team, our doulas focus on empowering and advocating for the birthing person while also supporting your partners or other helpers, ensuring a holistic birthing experience for all involved.

Postpartum Support

Our Postpartum doula care plays a crucial role in assisting families by offering valuable guidance and support on various aspects such as infant feeding, emotional and physical recovery from childbirth, strategies for soothing the baby, and providing coping mechanisms for new parents. In addition to these essential tasks, they may also lend a hand with light household chores, preparing meals, and aiding older children in adjusting to your family dynamics.
